A board that has finished its teaching season may still be useful to a customer. Before listing it, the school needs to know which item it is, how its use was recorded and whether it is ready to leave the rental or course fleet.
Review the actual item
Check the inventory identifier, recorded location, condition and available usage history. Inspect the equipment physically as well. Usage hours are a record of logged activity, not a sensor measurement or a guarantee of remaining life.
Inventory Intelligence is available for these recorded operational signals. Missing reports create gaps; they should not be interpreted as zero usage. A history can support a description without proving that every past session was captured.
Decide when it can leave the fleet
Before publishing, check future assignments and the replacement capacity the school needs. Staff decide whether to keep, repair or sell the item. The software does not automatically certify equipment or select a resale date.
For a rental item, review handover and return evidence alongside the inventory record. Overdue automation, extensions and rental security deposits should not be assumed from the presence of a rental board.
Publish a useful listing
Describe the specific item, size, known condition and what is included. Use current photos of the item. Check the sale price and availability, then publish the appropriate shop product. Keep the fleet and sales records aligned when its status changes.
A past guest may be interested in equipment they know. Contact them only through an appropriate channel and on a valid basis. Claiming they used this exact board requires an explicit guest-to-item record; a shared group assignment is insufficient. Automatic targeted resale campaigns are not included in this workflow.
Review what the records tell you
Compare demand and recorded use before replenishing the fleet. Low recorded hours can mean low demand, missing data or an item being unavailable, so investigate before making the purchase decision.
