- Record products and individual units
- Maintain condition and location
- Connect use and sales
What equipment does your school have, where is it and what condition is it in? Inventory provides the records behind equipment use, rentals and preparing products for sale.
Record equipment and stock
Create inventory records with the relevant equipment details. Your team can find existing records and use them in planning, rentals and sales. During guided setup, existing equipment data can be imported by CSV and checked.
Distinguish products from individual units
| Stock type | Example | What you maintain |
|---|---|---|
| Products by quantity | Several new leashes of the same model | Variants and available quantities |
| Identifiable individual unit | One particular kite from your school fleet | Its own serial number, images and equipment details |
Two units of the same model may have different conditions and histories. Linking information to the specific unit keeps it clear which equipment is involved.
Maintain details, condition and location
Keep equipment details, recorded condition and location up to date on the record. Your team can consult existing information and record changes against the appropriate unit.
Equipment Insights analyses recorded usage, condition and history. The strength of those insights depends on documented use and assignments.
Connect stock to its use
In the Whiteboard, your team assigns equipment to sessions. The Rental Board supports issue, return and condition records. The Resource Planner shows when specific resources are occupied or available.
These are three distinct tasks: maintain equipment in inventory, plan its occupancy in the Resource Planner, and document the actual rental on the Rental Board.
Prepare selected equipment for your shop
Your school decides which products and units to sell. An inventory record alone is not a published shop listing. Prepared images, details and prices provide the starting point for a product.
Listing an item does not end its use. It can remain in operation while it is neither reserved for the shop nor sold. Shop & E-Commerce explains publishing from inventory and the sales flow.
Frequently asked questions
01What is the difference between inventory and the shop?
+
Inventory records the products and units your school manages. In the shop, you publish and sell selected products. An equipment record does not automatically become a sales listing.
02Where do I see when equipment is available?
+
The Resource Planner shows occupancy over time. Issue, return and condition evidence belong to the rental workflow.
03How is Equipment Insights different?
+
Equipment Insights covers analysis of recorded usage, condition and history. Inventory & Stock covers the underlying records and their maintenance.
04Can existing equipment data be imported?
+
Equipment data can be imported by CSV during guided setup. We check the available exports and how they map to your products and units.
How do you organise your equipment today?
We will work through your stock types and show how an inventory record connects to planning, rentals and your shop.

We map your real school day first, then show only where TIDEFORCE actually fits.
