TIDEFORCE and Viking Bookings: compare the actual school day

Both address watersports operations; test planning, equipment records and billing with your school’s own examples.

Viking Bookings is a relevant option for watersports schools. Calling it only a reservation tool would miss the planning functions described in its own documentation. The useful comparison is how each system handles your daily work.

Start with documented capabilities

Viking's planning documentation, checked September 30, 2026, describes instructor matching, language and student information, rescheduling, waivers and availability checks for slots, instructors or inventory. Its advanced planning overview also describes automated assignments and manual adjustments.

Those are meaningful overlaps with school operations. Do not infer missing functionality from the fact that a supplier uses different product names.

Use a lesson that changes

Prepare a beginner group with mixed languages, limited boards and a last-minute change of instructor. Ask both providers to show the initial plan, the change and the participant information available to staff. Check which assignments are suggested, automated or made manually, and who has permission to alter them.

In TIDEFORCE, staff use the Whiteboard to plan groups, instructors and equipment. Conditions and safety still require the school's judgment. The relevant question is whether your team can understand and maintain the resulting plan.

Follow equipment and money afterwards

Ask to open the actual equipment record, identify recorded use and inspect the link to a shop product. In TIDEFORCE, Inventory Intelligence is available, but usage depends on complete records. Individual guest use requires a specific link, not merely equipment assigned to the group.

Then create and review an invoice from the booking or payment. Test session reporting and compensation preparation with your own rules. This does not amount to statutory payroll processing or automatic instructor payment.

Compare the agreed scope

Check setup, support, transactions, payment fees and any extra services in each written offer. Demonstrate optional website work separately from the core platform. Use TIDEFORCE pricing and the operations overview to prepare the discussion. There is no universal winner without the school's priorities and a tested workflow.
