A guest is looking for a suitable beginner course during their holiday. Your website should explain what your school offers, where it happens, who it suits and what to do next. That helps the person making the decision first. It also provides concrete information that search systems can process.
SEO means search engine optimisation; GEO is often used for visibility in generative AI answers. Established SEO principles still apply to Google’s AI features. This guide turns them into a course-page check. Inclusion, mentions and positions are not guaranteed. Google’s guidance does not automatically describe every other AI system. Google’s AI-search guide.
Start with a real guest question
Choose a course your school actually offers. Identify the decision a new guest needs to make, such as “Is this introductory SUP course at this location suitable for me?” Use questions your team already receives, without copying personal data. You do not need invented search volumes or a list of a hundred keyword variations for this task.
| Guest question | What belongs on the course page | How your school verifies it |
|---|---|---|
| Is this right for my level? | Audience, prerequisites and the limits of the offer. | Current course description and responsible instructor. |
| What do I get? | Tuition or activity time, included equipment and optional services. | The course option actually being sold. |
| Where does it happen? | Location, spot and meeting point; the agreed information route if conditions change. | Current on-site arrangements. |
| When can I take part? | Available dates or a clearly labelled enquiry if a date needs confirmation. | The authoritative booking or planning record. |
| What does this option cost? | Total price, amount due now and any remaining payment. | The same option in checkout. |
| What do I do next? | A clear route to booking or making an enquiry. | A phone walkthrough to the final summary without a real purchase. |
These answers do not all have to sit on the home page. The home page leads to a relevant offer; the course page supports the specific decision. A location deserves its own page when you can explain distinct activities and useful local information. Replacing the place name in the same sales copy does not create that value.
Turn a general promise into a specific answer
Fictional example: A school offers a two-hour SUP introduction for adults with no previous experience. Confident swimming is required, suitable course equipment is included, and the meeting point is the school office on the north shore. The school confirms its own course conditions. These invented facts serve only to compare the wording.
| General copy | Specific copy using the same offer details |
|---|---|
| “Enjoy unforgettable adventures with our professional team. There is something for everyone.” | “Our two-hour SUP introduction is for adults with no previous experience who can swim confidently. Suitable course equipment is included. Meet us at the school office on the north shore. Select an available date to see the total price for your option.” |
The second version answers more decision questions. It is not evidence of a better ranking. On your actual page, replace “north shore” with the unambiguous spot and useful directions. Relevant photos show the real meeting point or lesson setting and support only claims you can verify. Invented staff, qualifications or reviews do not make the copy credible.
ChatGPT can turn checked facts into a first draft, headings or a translation. Review every course detail and language version afterwards. Google requires accuracy, quality and relevance from AI content too; producing pages at scale without additional value can breach its spam policies. Google’s generative-AI guidance.
Distinguish the school, location and software provider
Use the confirmed school name, appropriate contact details and consistent location names across course pages, contact information and listings you maintain. Explain when the office, teaching spot and meeting point are different places. Guests planning their arrival should understand this without knowing your internal organisation.
Your school website presents your school as the provider of the courses. A reference to TIDEFORCE as the booking software must not replace that identity. Any structured data must match the visible content and must not invent reviews, offers or business relationships. Google’s structured-data rules.
Make the important page technically accessible
Google lists three minimum conditions for indexing eligibility: Googlebot must not be blocked, the page must return HTTP 200 successfully, and it must contain indexable content. Meeting these conditions does not guarantee indexing. Have the specific course URL inspected in Search Console. Technical requirements.
- Make the content visible: Put essential course details in readable text. A picture of text or a booking widget alone does not replace a useful offer page.
- Add real internal links: Link to the course from the relevant activity overview. Name the destination, such as “Introductory SUP at the lake”, instead of using “More” everywhere.
- Check the correct version: The title, heading, price and booking destination must describe the same offer. An accurate German page does not automatically update its other language versions.
- Test on a phone: Check readability, images, shifting layouts and the next booking step. A good lab score does not replace this walkthrough.
Two technical handover points help: Google recommends crawlable links with actual destinations, and JavaScript pages need their rendered content checked. Server-side or pre-rendering can make important content more accessible. That does not justify dismissing a particular website builder. Link guidance and JavaScript SEO.
Give AI visibility a verifiable foundation
For Google’s generative search, a page must be indexed, eligible for a snippet and included in those features through Search Console. A special AI file or artificially fragmented text is not required; Google does not use llms.txt for rankings. Current Google guidance.
Your practical task remains manageable: use your own course knowledge, answer clearly and make the offer accessible. Do not create near-identical pages for every wording variation. Decide whether new content helps guests with a distinct task. Technical eligibility, an actual mention and a completed booking are separate outcomes.
Measure four observations separately
| Observation | What you can examine | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Google search performance | How the selected course page changes in the chosen search report and period. | That every change was caused by the copy revision. |
| Google AI-feature impressions | Whether and how often links to your site appeared in supported generative search features. | A website visit, an identified guest or a booking. |
| Recognised referral visits | Whether existing website analytics records visits from identifiable AI services. | Every AI mention or the full preceding conversation. |
| Confirmed enquiry or booking | Whether the intended action reached or completed the actual business process. | That a button click alone was the same result. |
As checked on 30 October 2026, Google documents a separate generative-search report with impressions for AI Overviews and AI Mode, grouped by dimensions such as page, country or device. It may be unavailable when impressions are too low. It does not connect an individual website session to a particular user question.
Before editing, record the URL, date, objective and available measurement basis. Keep the content ID if you later rename the page. Compare suitable periods and note holidays, season, weather and campaigns. Missing data is unknown, not automatically zero. If you do not use website analytics, an observed phone test remains useful on its own.
Your task for the next 30 minutes
- Choose one important course page and a real guest question. Complete the six rows of the question matrix with verified information.
- Ask someone outside the team to find the answers on a phone. Record their first question and the relevant passage.
- Improve that one passage. Check that the booking destination and course option match it without placing a real order.
- Name an owner and a review date. If technical discoverability is uncertain, give the website team the exact URL and your observation.
You now have a better answer to an important guest question and a specific next step to verify. The direct-booking playbook helps with the mobile journey; the guide to connecting website and booking explains different integration routes.
If you need support, discuss your school’s content and website structure with TIDEFORCE. Content, implementation, measurement and ongoing care are defined for the specific project. This guide does not promise an SEO or AI-visibility result.
