Most inventory tools tell you what you own and where it lives. They don't tell you which board has been out every day for three months, which wetsuit nobody touches, or which kite is one session away from a repair. That knowledge usually sits in a head instructor's memory and walks out the door at the end of the season. Inventory Intelligence is TIDEFORCE's attempt to write it down — recording how each piece of gear is used and turning it into analytics you can actually read.
TIDEFORCE is the Commerce & Operations Platform for Outdoor Sports Schools. Your gear isn't a separate spreadsheet here — each item is the same connected data as the bookings it serves, the rentals it goes out on and the shop it can be sold from when it retires.
What it does
Usage hours, condition and location per item
Each piece of gear carries its own record: usage hours, current condition and where it's located. Your team records condition and location as part of how they already work — checking gear in, moving it between locations, flagging damage. TIDEFORCE keeps the history so a board, a wetsuit or a foil is a real item with a track record, not just a line in a count.

Utilization — what's earning its rack space

Usage hours and condition build a lifecycle view of each item — so you can see what's worn out, what's approaching replacement and what to retire. When a piece reaches the end of its school life, it's the same connected data you can list as used or demo gear in your shop, sold straight from the catalogue it already lives in.

Frequently asked questions
01Where does the usage, condition and location data come from?
+
Your team records it. Condition and location are logged by staff as part of check-in, rentals and moving gear between locations — they are not pulled automatically from sensors or telemetry on the equipment. TIDEFORCE keeps the history and turns it into analytics.
02Is Inventory Intelligence available now?
+
It's available in Beta. Usage hours, condition, location, utilization and lifecycle are all part of that Beta, so you can start building a track record for your gear while the feature matures.
03Can I see which gear is overused and which is sitting idle?
+
Yes. Once usage is recorded, TIDEFORCE turns it into utilization analytics across your seasons and locations, so you can see which items go out constantly and which rarely move — and rebalance instead of over-buying.
04Does it track which individual student used a specific item?
+
Not yet. Linking a specific item to the individual student who used it is planned, not in the product today. Material intelligence currently records usage, condition and location at the item level.
05Will it automatically market used gear to past customers?
+
No. Automatically marketing used or demo gear to the customer who last used it is on the roadmap, not available now. Today you can list retired gear as used or demo in your shop, sold from the same catalogue it already lives in.
06How does this connect to the rest of TIDEFORCE?
+
It's one inventory. The same items appear on the rental board, get assigned on the whiteboard, are checked in by your team and can be sold from the shop — so the hours and condition you record in one place inform everywhere that gear shows up.
