Most booking tools end the moment money changes hands. But your guests are not just buying a lesson — they are spending days, sometimes a whole week, in a place they often don't know. They ask your front desk where to eat, what to do on a no-wind day, which beach is best at low tide, where the good coffee is. That local knowledge is one of the most valuable things a school has, and it usually lives in your team's heads.
The Guidebook is where TIDEFORCE turns that knowledge into part of the guest experience. It is a curated layer of local tips, spots, activities, day-plans, recommendations and favorites that travels with the booking — so you are the local hub your guests rely on, not just the place they paid.
What it does

Build a Guidebook in your own voice: the spots you'd send a friend to, the restaurants worth the walk, the viewpoint nobody finds on their own. It's curated by you, not crowd-sourced and not a directory — your recommendations, kept current, presented as part of your school's experience.
Day-plans and favorites

Go beyond a list of pins. Put together day-plans — what to do on a flat-water morning, how to spend a windless afternoon, the rest-day route — and mark favorites so guests have a clear starting point instead of a wall of options. It's the answer to "what should we do today?" before anyone has to ask the desk.
Part of the guest journey, not a separate app

The Guidebook lives alongside the booking, so it is there throughout a guest's stay — not a leaflet that gets lost or a separate download nobody opens. It is an experience and retention layer: a reason for guests to stay close to your school across the trip, and to remember who made the week good when they plan the next one.

The Guidebook sits on the same connected data as your bookings, so the guest experience and the booking are one journey, not two systems. Pricing is a take-rate of 6.9% per processed transaction, payment fees included, with no setup or monthly fee. Hosting is in the EU on Google Cloud, GDPR-compliant, and your data stays yours — TIDEFORCE is not a marketplace. You can go live with your core setup fast, with guided onboarding.
Frequently asked questions
01What exactly is the Guidebook?
+
It's a curated layer of local tips, spots, activities, day-plans, recommendations and favorites that you build in your own voice. It travels with the booking so it's part of the guest's experience across their whole stay, not a separate leaflet or app.
02Can guests book a recommended activity straight from the Guidebook?
+
Not today. The Guidebook is a curated experience layer for sharing local recommendations. Booking a recommended activity directly from an entry is on our roadmap, not something the product does yet.
03Is this a directory or a marketplace of local businesses?
+
No. The Guidebook is your curated recommendations, kept current by you — not a crowd-sourced directory and not a marketplace of third parties. TIDEFORCE is not a marketplace, and your data stays yours.
04Do guests need to create an account to see it?
+
A guest-first journey — no mandatory login, email-first passwordless access with a secure booking link, and a QR ticket with one-tap check-in — is rolling out. We present it as product direction rather than something fully live for every school today.
05How does the Guidebook help with retention?
+
It keeps your school useful across the whole trip, not just at the moment of booking. By being the local hub guests rely on for what to do and where to go, you stay close to them through the stay and are the school they remember when they plan the next one.
